BRA-Vo! 2024 -Friday, November 8th 2024

Friday 8th November 2024 - Burghfield Common. Berkshire

BRA held their 2nd annual BRA-Vo Awards event at the Burghfield Village Hall, Friday evening. Each year The Burghfield Residents Association (BRA) helps raise many tens of thousands of pounds for their local charities & organisations by holding a May Fayre Week-End on The Hatch in Burghfield Village.

This year (2024) they were able to distribute various cash awards out of the £10,000 raised from the May Fayre

The awards evening is held each year as a celebration of and for the many residents who volunteer to help with May Fayre events and to publicise the work of the many charitable organisations who benefit from their funds.

Additionally for the last 2 years BRA have introduced the BRA-STAR Award where the community nominates individuals who they feel are the unsung local heroes or who go beyond and above to volunteer for their Community.

This year there were 16 nominations from which an “independent committee” whittled down to 4 finalists and then finally – the BRA-STAR!!

This year's award goes to Rebecca Streeter

The final 4 nominees were Brian Ross, Gilbert Bedford, Rebecca Streeter & Ali Murray
